Samy Ltd's expansion has included the acquisition of former underperforming corporately operated stores. These acquisitions have been refitted, revitalised and repositioned within their markets allowing us to showcase our shop standards and goals. We select our fascia to the catchment and we have been able to build a brand presence with Budgens & Londis which are part of the Tesco family. As a result of our success, it was our pleasure to show an example of our operation to the Tesco Plc Board. Tesco Chairperson Mr. John Allan and Tesco CEO Ken Murphy at one of our Budgens stores in Rowley Regis, Birmingham.

It was a great opportunity to not only showcase our store but discuss business expansion & the current challenges & opportunities for independent retailers with the main boards of Tesco and Booker Retail Partners. The ‘cherry on the cake’ for the Samy Team was the positive feedback regarding the store’s standards, its presentation and range from both Boards which is fantastic to hear and great motivation for all our teams that the business is on a positive trajectory.
